A devised piece about adaptation, and how sometimes the actor might not fit the role. Using original text from the literary classic ‘Little Women’, this piece explored the embodied experience of being a women and performers. This piece had a lot of layers in it, using projections of personal home-videos brought by the cast onto the ‘Little Women’ set, puppetry and movement. I was really interested in exploring the differences between actor and character, and how this can create tension and hold value in performance.
